Hazira survived the Srebrenica genocide, yet almost three decades later she still lives in a camp for internally displaced people in her own country. Daily work and routine sustain life, while wartime trauma remains present in a place that was supposed to be temporary.

Jakob Krese asks what a “ceasefire” means when peace does not bring return, security or a genuine end to displacement.
