Lebanese journalist Janay Boulos and Syrian activist and cameraman Abd Alkader Habak meet through their work while war in Syria sets the rhythm of their lives. Across thirteen years, messages, videos, voice notes and personal archives record a professional collaboration becoming a love story and an attempt to build a life together amid war, exile, distance and cultural differences.
The film refuses to separate the intimate from the political: history is seen through two people trying to preserve closeness.
