Short Cut Grass

Synopsis

An early summer afternoon starts with a game of hide and seek. As one kid counts to three thousand, the others hide in a row of suburban gardens. Meanwhile, a young father spends the rest of his day caring for a child that is not his own, an elderly man anxiously anticipates a phone call that will change his life, and the future of a year-long friendship remains uncertain. The game comes to an end as mosquitoes begin to swarm the grass. Short Cut Grass premiered at Oberhausen.
